Description: A treasure ship is a mythical ship piloted through the heavens by the Seven Lucky Gods during the first three days of the New Year. In the mid-Edo period, the feudal lords had painters paint a boat filled with seven gods of good fortune, and place it under the pillow on New Year's Eve for good luck.

This print was designed by Takehisa Yumeji (1884 – 1934), a Japanese poet and painter known foremost for his Nihonga illustrations of beautiful women and girls. Originally published in 1920 by Yanagi-ya in Osaka and this print is a reproduction in 2005 by Minato-ya in Tokyo, limited to 500 copies.

The displayed dimension is the print size and the frame outer size is 32.5 x 26.5 cm.

Note: because of the glass cover, we will ship the item without it to prevent any damage to the print.

The print and the frame are in good condition.
