Hair carving is especially fine ... Eisen's work from the Bunsei period (1818-1830). The young girl is having her hair done by a female hairdresser, and from the original title of the painting, "Looking forward to seeing her favorite actor," it seems she was especially dressed up because she is so excited about going to a play. This particular print is a post-war reproduction by Yamada Shoin. There are a few traces of glue removal at the left edge of the backside.
