Item from the Mokuhankan Flea MarketSeasonal Greeting CardSize: 0.0cm by 0.0cm (0.00 in by 0.00 in) | Enlargement | Shipping Code: [M] ? Designer: Chobunsai Eishi Era: Pre-war | Currency: $ / £ / € Price: Description: With a small woodblock print of a bijin-ga (pictures of beautiful women) on the cover, it was apparently a seasonal greeting card. The inside of the four-fold white paper is inscribed "Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year" (looks metal printing Hasegawa-font), so it was probably made for the Western market. Despite the small size of the print (about 10 cm in height), it is delicately engraved and printed. The card is folded in four and measures 15 x 11 cm when folded. This print is designed by Chōbunsai Eishi, depicting a woman in kimono writing a letter or a poem. Plum blossoms look dainty despite their small size. The print image size is 8.5 x 5.7 cm. It's toned overall and the white card has some foxing spots mostly on the backside.
