Description: This fan print was produced in the pre-war period, and the artist, publisher, and production method are unknown (probably machine printing). Since many fan prints are consumable and do not remain usually, such prints may be valuable even if they have stains, misregistrations, or other damages.

In this charming scene, we can see a woman under some tree branches looking at fireflies. She is wearing a green striped kimono with leaf motifs; her orange obi contrasts with the green palette and catches the eye. She is holding a lantern that seems to be also a cage that caught some fireflies inside, she is looking at them with curiosity and admiration. On the other hand, she is holding a fan and the position makes us think that she suddenly stopped to fan herself so she could observe the lights of the insects which seem to have hypnotized her. Some others are still flying around and others are quietly resting on the branches.

There are creases and spots on this print.
