Description: In the last years of his life, Kunisada, also known as Utagawa Toyokuni III, produced several series of works that recounted his own activities as an artist and traced the history of Edo kabuki. This print is one of his series 踊形容外題尽 (Odori keiyô gedai zukushi, The Titles and Scenes from Kabuki Dramas), which focuses on Kabuki performances. You can find the series information on Wikipedia Commons.

It depicts the scene of 名誉仁政録雪の下稲の屋の場. Excellent workmanship from the late Edo period and the colors remain beautifully intact. Published in 1856.

There are spots, soiling, pinholes, and slits on this print but the overall condition is good considering the age of the print. Also, this print is partially backed.
