Description: Caught in mid-flight by Hiroshige's 'strobe' flash, a pair of sparrows cavort near a snow-covered camellia tree. One of Hiroshige's many tanzaku designs, this one is in a slightly widened format. The print uses karazuri on the sparrows' wings. The poem at the upper right of the print reads, "Crows and kites contend for food; sparrows contend for the nest. The isolated existence (of the tree) by the pond is subject to frequent wind and snow".

There is a slight crease at the lower right part of this print.
