Description: This print belongs to the triptych "On Top of and beneath Ryôgoku Bridge". The whole picture is made up of six prints arranged in two tiers of three.

The scene depicted here shows three geishas below a bridge having a party and enjoying boating. One of the geishas is wearing a kimono adorned with her family crest, she is biting her fan and seems to be crossing the boat onto another.

The woman in the center wearing a red kimono is grabbing an iron teapot and the one on the left is helping the standing geisha to cross. Behind them, there is a man lazing atop the covered boat, pipe in hand. We can appreciate the river and some other boats in the background.

This print has slight creases, especially at the top left corner. Also, there is a trace of removal of glue on the backside.
