Description: This print is from the set "Ukiyo-e Beauties Overseas" (在外浮世絵美人画逸品集) which consists of 12 reprints of bijin-ga (beautiful women paintings) from Boston and Chicago museums collection.

The "to shirushi" in the title (芸国と印/Geikoku to shirushi) probably refers to Toyohina, a courtesan with a reputation in Yoshiwara. The figure of a smiling woman with her hand over her mouth is depicted in smooth curves, and the subdued colors and patterns create a graceful atmosphere.
