Description: This is one of the most stunning print designs in the entire ukiyo-e tradition. Hiroshige had experimented with 'mistyness' in a couple of other designs ('Mishima' in his Tokaido series, for one), but this print represents a massive transformation from the historical 'black outlines, flat colour' that forms the basis of the genre.

This print has the appearance of ‘aged’ prints - furubi. There are some foxing spots on the front side of this print and a trace of removal of glue on the backside.
