Item from the Mokuhankan Flea MarketSenba Station on the Kiso-kaido![]() Size: 26.0cm by 38.5cm (10.24 in by 15.16 in) | Enlargement | Shipping Code: [L] ? Designer: Ando Hiroshige Era: Post-war | Currency: $ / £ / € Price: ![]() Description: This is one of the most stunning print designs in the entire ukiyo-e tradition. Hiroshige had experimented with 'mistyness' in a couple of other designs ('Mishima' in his Tokaido series, for one), but this print represents a massive transformation from the historical 'black outlines, flat colour' that forms the basis of the genre.
This print has the appearance of ‘aged’ prints - furubi. There are some foxing spots on the front side of this print and a trace of removal of glue on the backside. ![]() ![]() Browse thumbnail pages of various selections from the catalogue ...
