Description: This print is from a series "Ukiyo-e Fukei Hanga Shutaisei" (Collection of Ukiyo-e Landscape Prints), a postwar reproduction of 24 prints by 20 different artists selected by Adachi company as the best examples of landscape prints from the late Edo period.

Kunitora, a disciple of Toyokuni, produced not many works, but is known for his strong Western-style expression, as exemplified by the series, "Omi Hakkei" (Eight Landscapes of Omi). This print is one of his most outstanding landscape paintings, incorporating perspective into the blurring of the blue of the sea and the blue of the sky.
