Item from the Mokuhankan Flea Market100 Poets - Harumichi no Tsuraki![]() Size: 26.0cm by 41.0cm (10.24 in by 16.14 in) | Enlargement | Shipping Code: [L] ? Designer: Katsushika Hokusai Era: Post-war | Currency: $ / £ / € Price: ![]() Description: This is a reproduction of a design from one of Hokusai's late print series: 'One Hundred Poems Explained by the Nurse', and represents the poet Harumichi no Tsuraki. Only a couple of dozen designs were published before the series was cancelled for some reason. The publisher 'O-Edo Mokuhansha' began creating reproductions of this series in the immediate post-war period, but stopped after issuing four of them. Seems to be a jinx on this particular series! This print is toning especially on the margins. ![]() ![]() Printer: Ito / Carver: Harada (This is Harada Kametaro, whose carving bench was passed down to Dave many years after he died ...) ![]() ![]() Browse thumbnail pages of various selections from the catalogue ...
