Description: This is from Yoshitoshi's popuar series 'One Hundred Aspects of the Moon.', a total of 100 large nishiki-e prints, all of which were based on moon-related scenes from Japanese and Chinese stories, poems, and songs, took eight years to complete.

The print depicts a tale of an old lady who roamed around the countryside obtaining the blood of children in order to cure her lord's strange disease. In this scene, the old lady is peering round the doorway, menacingly searching out her victim.

The print has been trimmed on the left edge, partially removing the publisher's colophon.
