Description: This print is from a set 'Selected Masterpieces of Ukiyo-e Prints', published by Adachi in 1971.

Katsukawa Shuncho is a pupil of Katsukawa Shunsho, who was known for yakusha-e (actor paintings), but his painting style is very similar to Torii Kiyonaga's, and he often paints beautiful women. In this work, the four geisha and the maid of the ryotei (Japanese-style restaurant) are about to board the boat at dusk, and their motions and beauty are well expressed.

There are slight spots on the top part of the left sheet but the pair is in excellent condition overall.
