Description: This print is from a set 'Selected Masterpieces of Ukiyo-e Prints', published by Adachi in 1971. It is believed to depict Ichikawa Danjuro IV's Kagekiyo, who appeared in the Nakamura-za performance on New Year's Day in 1767. The work symbolically conveys the very essence of Kabuki drama.
