Designer: Ando Hiroshige Era: Early Showa | Currency: $ / £ / € Price: Description: This print is from the set 'Kacho Fugetsu (Beauties of Nature)' which consists of 20 Hiroshige design prints in ōtanzaku format published by Yuyudo in the 1970s, produced by the best engravers and printers at that time. It depicts a pheasant and pine trees on a snowy hillside. The black 'ichimonji-bokashi' (a rubbing technique of straight-line blurring) at the very top of the screen shows the falling snow well. The pheasant seems to be proudly showing off its beautiful colors in contrast to the monochrome snowscape. There are slight spots on this print.
