Description: This print is also known as "Cherry Blossoms at Night on Naka-no-chô in the Yoshiwara" (Yoshiwara Naka-no-chô yozakura), and is from the "Famous Places in the Eastern Capital" (Tôto meisho) series by Hiroshige. The original print was made in the 1830s, although this particular print is a post-war reproduction.

Cherry trees blossom in the Yoshiwara pleasure district on the night of a full moon. Courtesans dressed in extravagant clothes make their way to their appointments, assisted by their child helpers.

Bokashi gradation has been used in several places, giving depth and perspective to the print.

This particular edition was produced by Takamizawa Company in the 1970s.

There is a faint fraying at the top margin and a small mark at the bottom margin of this print.
