Description: This Hiroshige piece is from the series Edo Meisho Hyakkei, One Hundred Famous Sites of Edo. It depicts downtown Saruwaka-cho at night which was one of the largest amusement centers in Edo. It wonderfully shows the place bustling with people coming and going under the dim light.

This version is a reproduction published by the Yuyudo Company.

This particular edition was produced by Takamizawa Company in the 1970s which is a little smaller than the original.

The marks over on the right margin are an artefact of the printing process (and a bit of carelessness by the printer ...)
