Description: This print is from a collection of woodblock prints of beautiful women from the Meiji period by a number of leading designers of the day, including Tsukioka Yoshitoshi, Ogata Gekko, and Kaburagi Kiyokata. The collection "Meiji no Onna" (Women of Meiji) was published in 1977 by Soudosha, and most of the designs were being reproduced for the first time.

It depicts a lady in kimono holding a cage of fireflies. The production is magnificent, with extremely delicate carving, rich colour printing, and deep embossing.

There are very slight foxing spots and light creasing, as visible in the photos.
