Description: An Utamaro print depicting two quails (uzura) and one skylark (hibari), originally from the album Momo chidori kyôka awase (Myriad Birds: A Kyoka Competition). The kyoka (light verse) poems that appeared in the original print do not appear in this version. Soft bokashi gradation has been used in background of the print.

A post-war reproduction from the O-Edo Mokuhan-sha Company.

This particular edition was produced by the O-Edo Mokuhan-sha, probably in the 1950-60s period. There are a few foxing spots from its long storage in their packaging, from which it has now been (thankfully) released!
