Description: A beautiful woodblock-printed postcard probably published for foreign tourists in the 1950s. The exact location of the scene is unknown, but the illustration seems to depict a traveler rushing to find a place to stay the night near Mt. Fuji before the snow gets heavier. The use of bright yellow stands out in this print - the lantern, the edge of the cloak, and the lights from the windows.

Note: unlike some of the other prints of this type that we currently have in the catalogue, this one is not mounted on a postcard.
