Description: This print (and a couple of others in our catalogue) dates from the post-war period (50s~60s) when there was quite the 'boom' in production of ukiyo-e reproductions for the domestic market. It was produced by the 共栄堂 (Kyoei-do) company, and is quite a spectacular production ... look at the dimensions ... well over double the size of most typical prints of this type.

It would be very difficult to undertake the production of this kind of reproduction these days - the staggering number of blocks and impressions required make such projects no longer commercially practical.
