Description: This print (and a couple of others in our catalogue) dates from the post-war period (50s~60s) when there was quite the 'boom' in production of ukiyo-e reproductions for the domestic market. It was produced by the 共栄堂 (Kyoei-do) company, and is quite a spectacular production ... look at the dimensions ... well over double the size of most typical prints of this type.

The printing team made liberal use of metallic pigments in imitation of the gold and silver used on the original scroll painting, painted in the 1600s.
