Description: This print is also known as "Leafy Cherry Trees on the Sumida River" (Sumidagawa hazakura no kei), and is from the "Famous Places in the Eastern Capital" (Tôto meisho) series by Hiroshige. The original print was made in the 1830s, although this particular print is a post-war reproduction.

A small group stops at the top of a riverbank to take in the view, catching their breath under some cherry trees in leaf along one of Tokyo's most famous rivers.

Bokashi gradation has been used in several places, giving depth and perspective to the print.
