Description: This print is from the "Eight Views of Kanazawa" (Kanazawa hakkei) series by Hiroshige. The original print was made in the 1830s, although this particular print is a post-war reproduction.

On a rainy night, two travelers in straw capes and hats hurry along the salt pans on the seashore. Where could they be going so late at night?

Bokashi gradation has been used in several places, giving depth and perspective to the print.
