Designer: Toshikata Era: Meiji | Currency: $ / £ / € Price: Description: One print from the "Selection of Thirty-six Beauties" (or "Thirty-six Elegant Selections") series of prints by Mizuno Toshikata. Each print in this series had a title denoting the period in which the scene was set, and a beautiful woman in the costume of that era. This particular print shows a Nagoya woman of the Koka era (1844-48) playing the koto. There is some beautiful karazuri blind embossing to the title panel of the print, and the use of silver leaf is evident in the lower right screen.
