Description: One print from the "Selection of Thirty-six Beauties" (or "Thirty-six Elegant Selections") series of prints by Mizuno Toshikata. Each print in this series had a title denoting the period in which the scene was set, and a beautiful woman in the costume of that era. This particular print shows a Nagoya woman of the Koka era (1844-48) playing the koto.

There is some beautiful karazuri blind embossing to the title panel of the print, and the use of silver leaf is evident in the lower right screen.

There is a crease to the centre of the print, and there are some other, smaller, creases and marks to the print also.
