Description: This is one print from Ogata Gekko's "Gishi yonjunana zu" ("Illustrations of the Forty-seven Loyal Retainers") series, depicting Yato (Yagashira) Emoshichi, one of the forty-seven ronin. The caption next to the title tells us that Emoshichi was of kinju rank, a son of Chosuke, with 20 koku stipend, and was aged 18 at death.

The print has been delicately printed, and has some nice karazuri embossing to the title caption.

There are a few small marks to the print, and there is a little light wear to the extremities. There is also one small section where there has been some ink offsetting from a piece of paper (a newspaper) which has been laid on the print in the past.
