Item from the Mokuhankan Flea Market3PM from Twenty-Four Hours ParodiedSize: 36.5cm by 24.1cm (14.37 in by 9.49 in) | Enlargement | Shipping Code: [L] ? Designer: Kunichika Era: Meiji | Currency: $ / £ / € Price: Description: This is one print from Kunichika's "Twenty-Four Hours Parodied" series. The prints in the series show the everyday lives of beautiful women, hour-by-hour, and are filled with humorous wordplay and puns. In this particular print, set at 3PM, a woman clutches her umbrella, perhaps ready to go out. Items used for study are pictured in the vignette in the upper right, suggesting that 3PM may be the time to buckle down and hit the books. Lines inside the whites of the beautiful woman's eyes have been very delicately carved, and the woman's hairline has been very sensitively printed. There are some creases to the print, and some minor running to the pigments. The margins have been trimmed, and the print mounted on paper.
