Description: One print by Kunichika from his "Contest of Flowers, Kanda Festival" series featuring kabuki actors at the Kanda Matsuri, one of the three biggest annual festivals in Tokyo. It features kabuki actor Ichikawa Danjuro (Horikoshi Hideshi or Horikoshi Shu). In the background, colourful procession floats can be seen, and there is some nice blind embossing to the headpiece and fan.

The margins of the print have been trimmed, and there are some marks and discolouration, including two stains to the centre of the print.
