Description: A print by Kuniyoshi showing lady-in-waiting Okaru, the illicit lover of the retainer Kanpei, from the Chushingura ("The Tale of the 47 Ronin"). This print appears to be one of a group of several prints showing a specific scene from a kabuki play, probably the Kanadehon Chushingura ("The Treasury of Loyal Retainers").

The margins of the print have been cut, and there are several small holes to the left margin. There are also light creases to the print, and a small ink mark to the top-right.
