Description: A print by Toyokuni presumed to depict a scene from the "Kanadehon Chushingura" ("The Treasury of Loyal Retainers"). It features the farmer Yasaku, older brother to Senzaki Yagoro (one of the 47 ronin). Yasaku is roped into the chain of events, and eventually has to kill himself with the group despite not being a samurai. He had trouble going through with the act, which is why this print shows him painting a line on his stomach, perhaps as a guiding line.

The margins of this print have been trimmed, and the print itself has been backed with thin washi paper.
