Description: This is one print from the "Haiyu Ongyoku Atari Kurabe" ("Actors and Musical Performances, Comparison of Hits") series by Kunichika. The main section of this particular print depicts an actor playing Fukuoka Mitsugi, the main character of the summer kabuki play "Ise Ondo Koi no Netaba". The print, with a fan-shaped design in the upper section, is almost identical in style to Kunichika's "Haiyu Rakugo Atari Kurabe" series of prints featuring actors and comedic storytellers.

Some nice bokashi gradation is present in the title panel and lantern pictured, and the hairlines of both characters pictures have been finely carved. There is faint nunomezuri (a pattern blind-embossed on paper using a piece of cloth affixed to a woodblock) to sections of the main actor's costume, and rich pigments have been used throughout the print.

There is wormholing to the print, predominantly to the margins, and minor running to the inks in a few places. The print has been mounted on paper, and the margins trimmed.
