The Kanda River does indeed still look much like this, although the right bank is now one of Tokyo's busiest train stations, and in place of the small wooden bridge in this image, there is a large concrete span, and a steel train bridge ...

Long-time fans of Dave's work might also recognise this, as it was stolen by a Meiji-era publisher for this version, which he reproduced in one of his Surimono Albums here.
