This was produced in 1983 by the Kyoto publisher Tanseisha, and is one of a set of similar editions they produced at that time. The prints are on a large scale, and took a very large number of blocks to make. This one is listed in their catalogue at 90 printing impressions. It was issued as a limited edition of 200; this is copy #29 In this style of printing (common in Kyoto, as opposed to Tokyo), white pigments are used, rather than letting the white of the paper show through.
