Description: A wonderfully made and carefully preserved version of Goyo's famous design. This is from Tanseisha, a company noted for its fine woodblock productions, and we think it dates from the early 1980s.

The mica background is clean and smooth, and the fine hair is also very carefully printed. Carver: Uetani Sadao / Printer: Sasaki Shigeru

(This Tanseisha edition is larger than the more commonly seen Yuyudo version ...)


The reproduction version carries the same date as the original - Taisho 9.
