This was produced in 1983 by the Kyoto publisher Tanseisha, and is one of a set of similar editions they produced at that time. The prints are on a large scale, and took a very large number of blocks to make. This one is listed in their catalogue at 70 printing impressions. The carving team was led by Uetani Sadao, and the printers by Yoneda Kurazo. It was issued as a limited edition of 200; this is copy #29 The seal at bottom right (here woodblock printed, of course) is that of Kano Masanobu, the original painter. The original painting is a Japanese National Treasure, and information on it can be found on the Japanese government's website here.
