Although intended to depict a day of very bad weather - the tree branches are whipping in the wind, and her umbrella is broken - she herself seems to be curiously insulated from all this ...

The colouring on the stone fencing, printed with vermillion pigment, is already showing faint oxidization; this print is on the way to becoming a nice 'antique' ... :-)
