Ayumi Ohashi Visited

Posted by Cameron Hilker on July 26, 2018 [Permalink]

Our printer Ayumi Ohashi, currently on maternity leave, came for a visit to Mokuhankan! We were so glad to have her visit and introduce her baby to all of us.

Meet the adorable newest member of the Ohashi family, Miharu!

Everyone got a chance to hold her, which was a lot of fun.

Ayumi was a busy printer at Mokuhankan, but many of the prints she completed before starting maternity leave have already gone out of stock! Her most recently printed design that's still available is Peony and Sparrow a print we regularly use in our shop to demonstrate the beautiful embossing possible in traditional Japanese woodblock prints.

Dave, too, was pleased to see Ayumi back at Mokuhankan. Of course we'd love to have her back here as a printer because there is always plenty to print, but we are just glad that she's happy!

In the last picture, Dave is using his index finger to show Miharu how to hold a baren. It's a good idea to get those kids started early!

It's great to see previous top printer Ayumi-san again!

Is her visit also implying she might pick up printing again for Mokuhankan any time soon?
