'The Serpent Strikes' Key Block

Big big news today! Fans have been waiting for this for _years_! Jed-san has probably given up on this ever happening. Finally, we're making progress on the next print in the main Ukiyo-e Heroes series!
Our young carver Noriko Kawasaki (who does most of the work on our monthly subscription prints) has been using her time 'in between' those jobs to work on the carving of the design Jed calls 'The Serpent Strikes'. The image here is of his Photoshop version; and now the woodblock version is finally coming to life!
Here are some images of the two key blocks for this print. We need two because the design calls for a vivid difference between the hero in the foreground and his opponents in the back. We will need to print them at different shades, so two blocks are necessary.
Now that these two blocks are ready, colour carving will begin. I won't have video of that, because Kawasaki-san is pretty 'private', but once her set of blocks are all back here, I'll set up my camera for a proofing session. It won't be 'tomorrow', but anyway, we're on the way! Thank you for your patience, everybody!
