A New Era ...

I think that when I look back on it from sometime far in the future, today will be one of those days that sticks out as a 'big one'. Yasuhiro Lee started with us today, and going by what I've seen so far of his attitude and abilities, I hope that he'll be with us for a long time to come!
But let's start with a snapshot from the 'office' upstairs, where Yasui-san is getting ready for tomorrow's 'back number' print shipping, running off sheets on our big Epson laser:
We then slip downstairs, where Ishigami-san is mounting some prints ...
Right behind her, Tsushima-san is of course beavering away busily at her current print edition (which 'sold out' of her original batch ... putting her under the gun to get a new batch finished as soon as possible!):
And here's the 'new guy', busy with his first job, making a new workbench for the ladies to do the print mounting work downstairs. (The bench they are using now will be coming up into this room, where it will be used for the case construction that will be getting under way soon ...
And we have no shot of the 'missing person' in the workshop ... because he was holding the camera!

After watching the studio for a few days now ( actually nights for me in the USA !)it is good to be able to put names to the faces, hello all !
Hopefully you be able to move the webcam downstairs at least for a little bit so we can partake in the case construction once the action starts....thanks !

Nope. Once case construction begins in earnest (probably from next Monday), I'll move the webcam upstairs sometimes.
Our normal webcam location is the printing room in the second basement (the lowest useable level in the building). The wide and open space where the construction will happen in the first basement, just above it.

what are the two prints in the plastic container to the left of Ishigami-san ? don't recognize them....

Heh heh ... I love it when people pick up on some of the things that we 'leak' ... I wonder if anybody else noticed this ...
You can find those prints on a couple of places in my web site. Many years ago, they appeared here, and then a few years ago here. Coming up soon, they will be making a fresh appearance on this Mokuhankan site ... (Hint: Ishigami-san is not mounting them, she is dis-mounting them.)
