These beautifully rendered portraits of kabuki actors were published in sets for subscribers in 1914~15.

Each set consisted of 5 prints contained in a woodblock-printed wrapper.

The envelopes state 'Nishiki-e Society' (錦絵會) as the publisher, but carved into each design is also 'Publisher: Eiko' (版元：永光).

At least six sets are known; we currently have #1 and #5. We have learned some of the names/roles depicted (with reference to Darrel Karl's website), and will add details of others as we learn them.
