Description

Left: The title on the upper right tells that this print is made by the sponsor Oda showing his gratitude to the people who supported this project. The shamisen player's clothing carries the crest of the famous Danjuro clan of actors.

Center: This seems to be the congratulation print from the supporters of the project. The images depict materials that were essential items in Edo-era in Japan when a male goes on a long journey. They are braided hat, wallet, two swards, and the rest of his belongings in cloth wrapper Furoshiki. As his - the sponsor Oda - journey has finished all the items are free from their assignment and placed on the floor.

Right: This seems to be a present from Minami Kichijiro (南吉次郎)We're not sure of the meaning behind the traditional emblems (三つ星にひとつ引き紋), as they don't seem to be related to family crests.

Any new information is welcome! (S.I.)
