Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why: As an American expat living in Japan my whole life, unlike most Americans who grew up watching Disney films, I grew up watching Ghibli films. These animations are my childhood, and every time I watch them (I own nearly all of them) they bring me joy as well as the nostalgic feelings of my childhood. I would love to decorate my home with these cherished memories, but I don't want a cheap computer print. I want carefully crafted art that displays the value of these images. I believe Ghibli Studios working with Mokuhankan will produce items I will treasure for years to come. I am certain I'm not the only to think so.

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why: sometimes people need objects to remind them of something good. Some of the most important lessons I've learned came from a Think I film. Having these prints will help.

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why:

Lovers of Japanese culture automatically love your studio, too. Woodblock prints are an almost extinct part of Japanese art culture. David Bull has been working very hard to keep the art alive and you would make so many people happy by allowing him to honor your work in this traditional Japanese craft. Besides: free advertising!

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why: I've been a Studio Ghibli fan ever since I first saw Princess Mononoke. My children love watching Ponyo and My Neighbor Totoro. I'm also a lover of traditional arts and crafts. This deal would both further Mokuhankan workshop's goal of keeping a traditional Japanese artistic tradition alive, and result in a treasured keepsake for your fans.

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why:

David Bull is an exceptional wood block printer. He has made these prints exciting for people all over the world with his work on Ukiyo-e Heroes.

It seems fitting that such classical Japanese films as My Neighbor Totoro be printed in the Japanese woodblock style by a master printer.

I would absolutely love to place these on my mantle, where I can be reminded of those fond moments that Ghibli created.

Ghibli, say 'yes' please! Here's why: woodblock printing is a traditional Japanese art, and I think it's wonderful that a modern artist wishes to continue making traditional Japanese art of Japanese characters and scenes. Mr. Bull's woodblock prints are beautiful, and I think it would be a shame if Ghibli turned down an opportunity for their characters to be represented in such a classic and artistic way. There is a lot of art in Ghibli films, so I feel that moving still frames to another medium only compliments the films themselves. On a more pragmatic note, I think this is a good way for them to make some money, since Mr. Bull intends to compensate them for use of their intellectual property. I see no downside to this idea. Please allow Mr. Bull to make his beautiful woodblock prints!
