Description: This print by Tokuriki Tomikichiro (1902–1999) is part of the series '36 Views of Mt. Fuji’. This shouldn’t be confused with the series with the same name, designed by Katsushika Hokusai. The famous series from 1830-1832 was the inspiration for this series by Tomikichiro, about 100 years later, in 1939. Just like Hokusai, Tomikichiro wanted to capture Mt. Fuji in 36 different prints, but in a 'modern’ shin-hanga style.

This design is number 28 from the series and is called 'The Fuji Viewing Bridge in Suruga’. Suruga is located in Shizuoka prefecture.

As expected, Mt. Fuji is largely depicted in this design. It is seen from under a bridge, on which a farmer and his horse are crossing the bridge.

This print was published by Uchida Art (Uchida Bijutsu Shoshi).

This print has light stain and light matburn.
