Description: This print is from the "Kobayashi Kokei: Collection of Woodblock Prints from Sketches," published by Unsodo in 1976. The collection features ten woodblock prints based on his sketches: Egyptian Queen, Crane, Chinese Dance, Dragonfly, Sweetfish, Morning Glory, Squirrel, Chrysanthemum, Persimmon, and Orchid.

Kobayashi Kokei (1883–1957) was a Japanese Nihonga painter. He moved to Tokyo in 1899 to study Japanese painting under Kajita Hanko. Throughout his career, he created numerous masterpieces characterized by their exquisite line work and serene, translucent colors.


There are traces of glue removal on the back of this print.
