Description: Having made a name for himself with his paintings of actors, Shunsho took on the new style of sumo painting, attempting to depict everything from the movements of the wrestlers entering the ring to the final moments of the match with delicate, realistic brushwork.

In this print, Tanikaze Kajinosuke, a star sumo wrestler with a legendary undefeated record, is featured on the left, Onogawa Kisaburo on the right, and Referee Kimura Shonosuke is depicted.

This version is a post-war reproduction by Takamizawa Company. Please note that it is smaller than the original size.
