Description: This HIroshige work belongs in a 30-piece series Edo Komei Kaitei Zukeshi (Well-known Edo Restaurants) depicting the restaurants, which was a kind of landmark in Edo, and also the exterior along with various seasonal scenes. This print expresses the beautiful twilight scene at Aoyagi Restaurant in Ryogoku, two geisha boarding a houseboat.

This version is from a set that consists of 24 works created by Hiroshige and reproduced by Takamizawa during the post-war period. They carefully selected the best prints from various series and reproduced them in a slightly smaller size than the originals.
