Description: Kiyotada, a disciple of Torii Kiyonobu—the founder of the Torii school—depicted the Ichikawa Danjūrō II (1688–1758) performing the role of Shibaraku. Although this kabuki role is often portrayed in later depictions as a static, frontal pose, this print captures the vivid moment when Danjūrō strides powerfully onto the stage along the hanamichi, bringing the scene to life with dynamic energy.

This version is a post-war reproduction by the Adachi Company.

Oxidation on the orange colored parts of the print.
