He used the benizuri-e technique which added color to prints by putting one or two colors of ink on the woodblocks, instead of coloring certain parts by hand. Full-color prints weren't invented until 1765. The design shows a courtesan playing with two pet mice. A beauty with shamisen is sitting behind her and both ladies are wearing kimono with a detailed pattern. This version is a post-war reproduction by the Adachi Company.
