Description: From an untitled series of beauties compared to flowers. The original Edo period print has a darker, more solid black shawl and a cartouche in the upper right, with peonies depicted. (You can see the original on the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston website. )

This version is likely a pre-war reproduction, but the details are unknown. The print beautifully captures the semi-transparent quality of the shawl, and the background features a delicate, light pink mica background.
