Description: This print depicts Okita, a popular teahouse beauty, playing "makura-hiki" (tug-of-war with pillow made of wood) with a large, muscular nio, the guardians of the temple. While the beautiful Okita appears calm and composed, the nio's expression is serious and intense. Utamaro's skillful technique and imagination are clearly at play.

This version is likely a pre-war reproduction, but the details are unknown.

There is some toning.
